The International Center for AI Research & Ethics (ICAIRE), under the auspices of UNESCO, is pleased to invite you to participate in the Elevate Program. This initiative is dedicated to empowering women in AI, Aligning with the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to close the gender gap in STEM roles.
Section Two: Collected Data and Collection Purpose

Second, the purpose of collecting personal data: Personal data are collected for the following purposes:
- Title (Mr./Mrs./Ms./Dr./Eng./H.E. /Others) – to identify the person's title and contact them.
- First Name – to register the participant for attendance.
- Last Name – to register the participant for attendance.
- Personal Photo – For publicity purposes, such as program coverage, reports, site visits, and identification cards.
- Address – For scheduling and following up on training.
- Nationality – To confirm the trainee's identity and region.
- Date of Birth – To determine the trainee's eligibility for acceptance.
- Specialization – To determine the trainee's eligibility for acceptance.
- University Name – To determine the trainee's eligibility for acceptance.
- Graduation Date – To determine the trainee's eligibility for acceptance.
- Place of Work – For follow-up on invitations.
- Work Experience – To determine the trainee's eligibility for acceptance.
- Email Address – To confirm the participant identity and for training follow-up.
- Confirm Email Address – To verify the email address.
- Country of Residence (dropdown list) – To confirm the trainee's identity and region.
- City – For scheduling and following up on training.
- Mobile Number – For training follow-up and sending messages.
Section Three: Data Collection Methods
1- Directly: The participant's data is collected through the registration website. 2- Indirectly: Elevate Program does not collect any personal data from the participant indirectly and does not rely on any other sources.
Section Four: Use of Personal Data
We use personal data collected directly as follows: Personal data is collected by filling out required fields on the registration page or through predefined selections. The data is then sorted, and welcome messages are sent via mobile, along with confirmation emails. Data provided by the participant is collected to create a personalized attendance badge indicating their name. The email or phone number may be used to provide the participant with personalized information about future events and products, as well as the events and products of our carefully selected partners. It is reserved in encrypted internal records until it is deleted using specific technologies.
Section Five: Storing and Destroying Personal Data
Personal data is stored in compliance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection law. The website administration ensures that these servers are protected with the best technologies in accordance with the policies and controls of the National Cybersecurity Authority and international standards to ensure that unauthorized access is prevented and to mitigate cyber risks. We will then destroy the data after its purpose is completed in a secure manner that prevents it from being viewed or retrieved again by completely deleting it from the servers that store it.
Section Six: Legal Basis for Collecting and Processing Personal Data
Consent from the data subject, which may be withdrawn at any time unless another legal basis applies. To withdraw consent, the data subject may contact us at the email address provided in Section Nine.
Section Seven: Rights of the Personal Data Subject
- Right to know – The data subject has the right to know how we collect their data, the legal basis for collecting and processing data, how data is processed, stored, destroyed, and with whom the data will be shared. You can browse all the details through the Privacy Policy (this policy) or you can contact us using the means of communication described in Section Nine.
- Right to access personal data – The data subject has the right to access their personal data by viewing it directly.
- Right to request access to personal data – The data subject has the right to request a copy of their personal data by contacting the email provided in Section Nine. Providing such personal data will be free of charge within seven business days.
- Right to have personal data corrected – The data subject has the right to request correction of their personal data that they consider inaccurate, incorrect, or incomplete by the email provided in Section Nine. The request will be reviewed and updated within seven business days. The data subject will be notified of this through the email.
- Right to destroy personal data – The data subject has the right to request the destruction of their personal data in certain circumstances by contacting the email provided in Section Nine.
- Withdraw consent to the processing of personal data – The data subject can withdraw consent to the processing of their personal data (at any time) unless legitimate purposes entail otherwise.
Section Eight: Sharing/Exchange of Personal Data
There is no exchange or sharing of personal data collected through the Elevate Program with other parties.
Section Nine: Exercising the Rights of the Data Subject
The data subject has the right to request access/correction/destruction of their data by contacting the following email: elevate@icaire.org.

Section Eleven: Complaints and Inquiries
In the event of some complaints or inquiries related to the Privacy Policy or the handling of personal data, the website administration can be contacted via the following email: elevate@icaire.org. If no response is received within seven business days, the complaint or inquiry should be submitted to the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (Info@icaire.org). The website administration reserves the right to add or change any of the provisions of the Privacy Policy. The website will notify the data subject of such addition or change. The website administration reserves the right to terminate the data subject's account if they reject any changes to the Privacy Policy. Arabic is the official language for applying the terms and conditions. In the event of any discrepancy in interpretation between language versions, the Arabic text shall prevail.
